New Zealand batter Daryl Mitchell has claimed the No.1 spot in the ICC Men’s ODI Batting Rankings after a record-breaking series against India. Mitchell scored 352 runs in three matches, including a career-best 137 in the final ODI in Indore, helping New Zealand win their first-ever ODI series in India 2-1. Mitchell’s 845 rating points are the second highest ever by a Kiwi batter, behind Glenn Turner’s 854 in 1983. He had earlier briefly been No.1 in November before being overtaken by Rohit Sharma.
