Former Canada coach John Herdman has been named the new head coach of Indonesia, the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) confirmed on Saturday. The 50 year old Englishman previously guided Canada’s women’s team to bronze medals at the 2012 and 2016 Olympic Games before leading the country’s men’s team to qualification for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, Canada’s first appearance at the finals in 36 years.
