Nearly two million tickets have already been sold for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, marking one of the strongest starts in tournament ticketing history. The first two ticket phases saw overwhelming demand from fans across the globe, with supporters from 212 countries and territories securing seats for the groundbreaking event to be hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Residents of the three host nations led the purchases, followed by fans from England, Germany, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Argentina, and France.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino congratulated early ticket holders, saying:
“Congratulations to everyone who has already booked their seats and for those who haven’t, a new opportunity begins on Thursday, 11 December, just days after the Final Draw in Washington DC.”
FIFA World Cup 2026™ Chief Operating Officer Heimo Schirgi added:
“With 42 teams already qualified, we are witnessing huge global interest as we prepare to soon find out most of the match-ups, as well as where and when they will take place. With the much-awaited opening match in Mexico City kicking off in fewer than 200 days, we are ready and excited to welcome fans to North America next year for the biggest FIFA World Cup yet.”
Third Ticketing Phase Begins 11 December
The Random Selection Draw ticket phase will open on 11 December at 11:00 ET (17:00 CET) and continue until 13 January.
This marks the first phase during which fans can apply for single-match group-stage tickets based on exact match-ups following the Final Draw on 5 December.
Applications must be submitted at FIFA.com/tickets.
FIFA confirms:
Entry time within the window does not affect the chances of success.
Fans with a FIFA ID should log in and enter the draw.
New users must create an account before applying.
Successful applicants will be notified by email, and payments will be charged in February.
A partially successful application means fans will receive tickets to some, but not all, requested matches.
PMA Supporter Tickets & Hospitality
Fans of specific national teams may apply for Participating Member Association (PMA) supporter tickets if they meet their federation’s eligibility criteria.

Travel Requirements & Visa Information
A match ticket alone does not guarantee entry into the host nations. FIFA advises fans to check visa rules for the USA, Mexico, and Canada and apply early due to processing times.
Ticket holders traveling to the United States are eligible for the FIFA Priority Appointment Scheduling System (FIFA PASS).
