April 5, 2025 — World Rugby has officially announced Volvic as the Official Water Supplier for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, marking a continued commitment by the natural mineral water brand to the sport of rugby following its successful involvement in the men’s Rugby World Cup 2023.
Originating from the protected volcanic region of Auvergne, France, Volvic’s natural mineral water is filtered through six layers of volcanic rock over five years. Known for its clean, refreshing taste and natural mineral content, Volvic provides healthy hydration perfectly suited for elite athletes, making it a strong partner for the upcoming global tournament.
The partnership will see Volvic provide hydration support across all eight venues and fan zones, catering to players, coaching staff, media personnel, volunteers, and spectators throughout the competition.
As part of a comprehensive 360° marketing campaign, Volvic will engage audiences across communications and media, point of sale, e-retail, PR, and in-stadium visibility. Former Women’s Rugby World Cup winner and Women’s Six Nations champion Natasha Hunt will be a central figure in the campaign, with further details to be unveiled closer to the tournament kick-off.
Volvic is also set to launch a special “Scan for the chance to Win” on-pack promotion this March. The campaign will offer fans the opportunity to win exclusive rugby merchandise and tickets to the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 final at Twickenham Stadium, scheduled for Saturday, 27 September. The promotional bottles will be available at major UK retailers.
Emphasizing sustainability, all Volvic bottles used for the tournament are now made from 100% recycled plastic, excluding caps and labels, underscoring the brand’s ongoing mission to reduce the use of virgin plastic.
“Volvic is proud to continue its journey into the world of rugby, this time supporting the women’s game as the Official Water Supplier of the Women’s Rugby World Cup,” said Rachael Hann, Category Director Beverages UKI. “This summer is a pivotal moment for women’s rugby with world-class female players ready to unleash force on a global stage, and we’re excited to support these athletes while keeping fans hydrated.”
Sarah Massey, Managing Director of Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, added: “Volvic’s sponsorship shows a strong commitment to women’s sports and the growing prominence of women’s rugby. Women’s rugby embodies inclusivity and empowerment, and we’re delighted to have brands like Volvic supporting our mission to raise the profile and visibility of the sport.”
The Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 promises to be the biggest and most widely followed edition yet, and with Volvic on board, hydration and sustainability will be front and center of the fan and athlete experience.
