The International Cricket Council (ICC) has extended its gratitude to the Malaysia Cricket Association for successfully hosting the second edition of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup. The prestigious tournament, which showcases the future stars of women’s cricket, took place from 18 January to 2 February 2025 across multiple venues in Malaysia.
India emerged victorious, claiming their second U19 Women’s T20 World Cup title after 41 thrilling matches that featured competitive performances from the 16 participating teams. The host locations of Bangi, Johor, Sarawak, and Selangor played a pivotal role in delivering a world-class event, marking Malaysia’s successful return to hosting an ICC event since 2008.
ICC Chair, Jay Shah, expressed his appreciation for Malaysia’s efforts in organizing the tournament, stating, “We would like to thank the Malaysia Cricket Association for the successful hosting of the ICC U19 Women’s T20 World Cup 2025. From the fantastic venues to the competitive cricket on display, Malaysia provided a fantastic platform for the future stars of the game to shine. We congratulate them on delivering a successful event and look forward to working with them again in the future.
