
January 29, Kathmandu. APF Football Club has won the ANFA Women’s League 2081 title after a 4-0 victory over Nepal Police Club in the final match at Dasharath Stadium on Wednesday.

Sabita Rana Magar scored two goals, while Saru Limbu and Anu Lama each added one, securing a dominant win for APF FC. Foreign Minister Arju Rana Deuba attended the closing ceremony as the chief guest.
The final was also emotional as Anu Lama, a legend of Nepali women’s football, announced her retirement after 20 years in the sport. She made her last appearance as a substitute and, within minutes of coming onto the field, scored a goal to mark the perfect farewell. She plans to continue supporting women’s football after her retirement.

Rashmi Kumari Ghising won the Highest Scorer award, while Sabita Rana Magar was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament. Sabitri Kisan received the Best Goalkeeper award for her outstanding performance, and Tribhuvan Army FC was honored with the Fair Play Award for their sportsmanship.
