16 October 2024. The UFC is set to close out its 2024 Pay-Per-View season with a massive world championship doubleheader at UFC® 310 on December 7 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The event will showcase two explosive title bouts, headlined by newly crowned welterweight champion Belal Muhammad defending his title for the first time against undefeated Kazakhstani powerhouse Shavkat Rakhmonov. In the co-main event, flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja will defend his belt against Japanese sensation Kai Asakura, who is making his highly anticipated UFC debut.

Main Event: Muhammad vs. Rakhmonov
Belal Muhammad (24-3 1NC), fighting out of Chicago, will look to extend his 11-fight unbeaten streak and successfully defend his welterweight crown. Muhammad secured his title in a dominant win over Leon Edwards and has also collected victories over top contenders like Gilbert Burns and Vicente Luque. He faces a formidable challenge in Shavkat Rakhmonov (18-0), who has finished all 18 of his opponents, making him one of the most feared fighters in the division. A win for Rakhmonov would see him claim UFC gold for the first time and maintain his perfect record.

Co-Main Event: Pantoja vs. Asakura
Flyweight champion Alexandre Pantoja (28-5) is riding high after securing victories over top-ranked fighters such as Brandon Moreno and Alex Perez. Known for his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu skills, Pantoja is eager to secure his third successful title defense. However, standing in his way is Japan’s Kai Asakura (21-4), who enters the Octagon with an impressive resume from promotions outside the UFC. With notable wins over names like Kyoji Horiguchi and Manel Kape, Asakura aims to make history by becoming the first Japanese UFC champion.
