Everything You Need to Know About the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.

Kathmandu, 6 September 2024. The 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup marks the ninth edition of this prestigious tournament. Ten teams will battle it out in 23 matches, played across two venues in the United Arab Emirates. The competition will feature the world’s top cricketing nations, vying for the trophy from October 3 to October 20.

The Groups

The teams are divided into two groups:

Group A: Australia, India, New Zealand, Pakistan, Sri Lanka
Group B: Bangladesh, England, Scotland, South Africa, West Indies

Each team will play the others in their group once in a single round-robin format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, where the first-place finisher from one group will face the second-place team from the other. The winners of the semi-finals will meet in the grand final in Dubai on October 20.

Opening Matches

The tournament kicks off with Group B matches on October 3. Bangladesh will face Scotland in the first match, followed by Pakistan taking on Sri Lanka later in the day.
