Kathmandu, 28 August. Bangladesh won the U-20 SAFF Championship 2024, defeating Nepal 4-1 at the ANFA Complex. The stadium was crowded with passionate fans from both countries, creating an exciting atmosphere.
Mirajul Islam of Bangladesh scored two important goals as the match’s star. His first was a magnificent free kick in the second minute of extra time before halftime, which set the tone for the remainder of the game. He added another in the 55th minute, and Md Rabby Hossen Rahul scored in the 71st minute, assisted by Mirajul. Despite Nepal’s efforts, including a goal by Samir Tamang in the 80th minute, they were unable to stay up with Bangladesh’s unrelenting tempo.
