18 August 2024, Kathmandu. In a stunning showdown at the Prince Sultan bin Abdul Aziz Stadium, Al-Hilal dominated Al-Nassr with a commanding 4-1 victory to win the Saudi Super Cup 2024. Despite Cristiano Ronaldo giving Al-Nassr the lead just before halftime, Al-Hilal staged an incredible second-half comeback, inflicting a painful defeat on their rivals.
Ronaldo opened the scoring for Al-Nassr in the 44th minute, finishing off a well-placed pass to give his team a 1-0 lead heading into the break. However, Al-Nassr’s defensive frailties proved costly as they crumbled under Al-Hilal’s relentless pressure in the second half.
Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinković-Savić equalized for Al-Hilal in the 54th minute with a powerful strike, shifting the momentum of the game. Ten minutes later, Aleksandar Mitrović put Al-Hilal ahead with a clinical header, and just five minutes after his first, Mitrović doubled his tally with another precise finish to make it 3-1.

Al-Hilal sealed the victory in the 72nd minute with a fourth goal from Brazilian forward Malcom, who capped off an impressive team performance. Al-Nassr, unable to regroup after Al-Hilal’s onslaught, suffered a crushing defeat, with their defensive weaknesses exposed.
This match marks another bitter loss for Ronaldo’s side at the hands of their rivals, Al-Hilal. The last time the two teams met, Al-Hilal defeated Al-Nassr on penalties (5-4) in the King Cup of Champions 2024, after a 1-1 draw in regulation time at the King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah in May.
