7 June, Kathmandu. The world’s premier mixed martial arts organization will debut in Saudi Arabia on June 22, 2024 with a show-stopping main event featuring No.3 Robert Whittaker against undefeated star Khamzat Chimaev in partnership with the Kingdom’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA).
Whittaker (26-7-0, fighting out of New South Wales, Australia) returns to the Octagon® to face Khamzat Chimaev in Riyadh. In 2009, Whittaker became the UFC’s middleweight champion, and in UFC 298 he defeated. Brazil’s Paulo Costa for his most recent win.
Chimaev (13-0-0, fighting out of Dubai, United Arab Emirates) is continuing to rise as a middleweight star. All eyes are on Chimaev’s battle in Riyadh, with his most recent victory coming at UFC 294, when he defeated Kamaru “The Nigerian Nightmare” Usman.
