World Rugby has extended its official apparel partnership with Italian sportswear brand Macron until 2029 continuing a collaboration that began in 2022 and underlining a shared commitment to quality, performance and innovation in the global game.
Under the renewed agreement, Macron will remain an official sports apparel supplier for Rugby World Cup tournaments and the official match official kit supplier to World Rugby. The partnership will cover major international events including the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 and Women’s Rugby World Cup 2029 in Australia, as well as World Rugby’s annual competition calendar such as the HSBC SVNS Series.
Macron will continue to supply technical and athleisure apparel for World Rugby match officials, staff and volunteers, alongside official tournament merchandising collections. The Macron Hero emblem will remain visible across World Rugby’s elite competitions, reinforcing the brand’s presence at the highest level of the sport.
The agreement also includes the ongoing supply of Emirates World Rugby Match Official uniforms, featuring a bespoke kit designed specifically for female match officials. All match official apparel will continue to be manufactured using eco-fabrics made from 100 percent recycled materials, reflecting a strong focus on sustainability and innovation.
The partnership extension recognizes Macron’s long standing support of rugby across both international and club competitions, including its involvement with European Professional Club Rugby tournaments. The renewed deal secures continuity in apparel supply during a significant period for the sport, marked by major global tournaments and growing participation worldwide.
