December 17, 2025\u2014Players from South Africa and Ireland were among the biggest movers in the latest ICC Women\u2019s ODI Player Rankings, with a change at the top of the batting charts following recent international action.<\/p>\n

India\u2019s Smriti Mandhana has reclaimed the No.1 position among ODI batters, replacing South Africa captain Laura Wolvaardt. Mandhana now sits on 811 rating points, while Wolvaardt slipped to second after her tally dropped to 806 points.<\/p>\n

South Africa enjoyed a strong start to their ODI series in East London, recording a commanding seven-wicket win while chasing a target of 210 in just under 37 overs. The performance led to notable gains for several Proteas players in the updated rankings.<\/p>\n

Sun\u00e9 Luus moved up five places to equal 41st on the ODI batters list and also made a significant jump among all-rounders, climbing ten spots to 33rd. Fellow South African Tumi Sekhukhune advanced seven places to 78th in the ODI bowlers rankings after a two-wicket haul.<\/p>\n

Ireland players also made encouraging progress despite the defeat. Orla Prendergast rose to 10th among ODI all-rounders and climbed two spots to 34th on the bowlers list. Laura Delany improved her standing across formats, moving up to equal 16th among all-rounders and gaining four places to 67th among bowlers.<\/p>\n

Additional gains were recorded by Arlene Kelly, who advanced to 32nd, Cara Murray, who moved up to equal 49th, and Delany, all reflecting Ireland\u2019s growing impact in the women\u2019s game.<\/p>\n

The latest rankings underline the shifting landscape in women\u2019s ODI cricket, with performances from South Africa and Ireland continuing to influence the global standings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
